Interaction of Nanoparticles with DNA

Investigation of the influence of silver nanoparticles suspended in water on the fluorescence intensity of tinctorial molecules intercalated in DNA and also in DNA metalocomplex.

The aim of this work is augmentation of the intensity of photodynamic influence on DNA molecule. Investigation of intercalator fluorescence decay by silver nanoparticles in triple complex – DNA-intercalator-metal ion is extremely important for more effective influence of laser radiation on tumour cells during cancer photochemical therapy.

Recently we work mainly on silver nanoparticle interaction with DNA in different medium and under existence of different agents such as dye in the medium. It is shown that silver nanoparticles create aggregates during interaction with free molecules of orange acridine. After intercalation in DNA aggregation does not take place. Under the influence of silver nanoparticles fluorescence decay of orange acridine intercalated in DNA, while this fluorescence decay does not take place by Fiorster mechanism.
