Open Magnetic Traps OMT-1 and OMT-2

Magnetic trap OMT-1

Length L = 75 cm
Inner diameter R = 14 cm
B0(max) = 0.2 T
Stationary
Ps(max) = 8 kW
Uniform l = 40 cm
ΔB0/B0 = 0.1 %
Mirror type trap
fUHF = 2.45 GHz
PUHF = 150 W (stationary)
Plasma formation takes place in the magnetic trap in electron cyclotron resonance regime.

Magnetic trap OMT-2

Length L = 90 cm
Inner diameter R = 20 cm
B0(max) = 0.5 T
Stationary
Ps(max) = 30 kW
Uniform l = 55 cm
ΔB0/B0 = 0.1 %
Mirror and multi-mirror type trap
fUHF = 2.45 GHz
PUHF = 2 x 150 W (stationary)
Plasma formation takes place in independent UHF source in electron cyclotron resonance regime and then it is injected in the magnetic trap.
