DEPARTMENT OF PLASMA PHYSICS

Research Topics

Investigations of the department of Plasma Physics are mainly oriented towards fundamental topics of plasma physics in both – theory and experiment. Those topics are: plasma-wave interaction, UHF methods of plasma heating, laser plasma and laser diagnostics of plasma, tokamak plasma and controlled thermonuclear fusion etc.

Subjects Area
  1. Plasma-wave interaction. Decay instability,
  2. Relativistic effects in plasma,
  3. Quantum plasma
  4. "Dusty" plasma,
  5. Non-linear optics of complex medium,
  6. Transport processes in plasma,
  7. Astrophysical plasma,
  8. Interaction of ultra-high power radiation with medium,
  9. Investigation of tokamak plasma characteristics: turbulence and its external control, current drive and UHF diagnostics of plasma (interferometry, reflectrometry, radiometry),
  10. Experimental investigation of wave interaction with plasma in open magnetic trap,
  11. Laser plasma and laser diagnostics of plasma,
